The University of York
The University of York was founded in 1963 with 200 students. Since then, it has expanded to 11,000 students and has over 30 academic departments and research centres.
From its inception, the University has concentrated on strong viable departments and teaching and research of the highest quality.
Leeds Trinity University
Business Start up and Enterprise services are based within the Careers Service at Leeds Trinity University College. All our services and competitions are open to students and recent graduates of Leeds Trinity and All Saints.
Services are offered for those wishing to start a new business, become self employed or work on a freelance basis.
University of Bradford
Think Business@Bradford is a 12 month journey for graduates wishing to commercialise their business idea in Bradford. We help graduates develop their personal skills, experience and knowledge to equip them with what’s needed to start and grow their business.
Key elements of the programme include; mentoring and coaching; professional business advice and shared office space. The programme is tailored to each business to maximise the benefit.

Leeds College of Music
The Enterprise & Knowledge Transfer Unit at Leeds College of Music helps students and early career musicians in the Yorkshire region.
We provide vital links between the College and the Music Industry through the creation of bespoke training programmes and events, a musicians’ booking service, and our Industry Partnerships.
University of Hull
Opened in 2008, The Enterprise Centre at the University of Hull provides premier start-up space and enterprise support services for students, graduates and persons with no previous connection with the University.
The Enterprise Centre is also home to a team that offer business development support to existing businesses, including access to specialist facilities and funding.
University of Huddersfield
The Business Mines at the University of Huddersfield and University Campus Barnsley support current students and graduates (within 5 years) to start their own business or follow self-employment/freelance work.
All support is free of charge and no equity share is taken.
University of Sheffield
University of Sheffield Enterprise was created in 2009 to bring all enterprise activities at the university under one academic lead. Based in the dedicated Enterprise Zone building, we offer support to current students and alumni of up to five years to help them build their skills and start up their own businesses.
We have a strong focus on social enterprise and link to local and national social enterprises through the Social Enterprise Research and Knowledge Exchange (SERX) partnership.
Sheffield Hallam University
The Enterprise Centre at Sheffield Hallam University provides support to current students and alumni within 5 years of graduation.
Support is predominantly for concept and start up businesses, but some support is available for existing businesses. All support is free and no equity share is taken.
